Blok DM-03 and Elektro-L 3

In October 2018, after over three years of hiatus, the historic Blok D upper stage family returns to service, pushing the Elektro-L No 3 spacecraft into geostationary orbit. The near-death of Zenit, and commercial failings of Proton, combined with a rocky debut of the DM-03 variant, had caused a gap in launches not seen since Blok D's first flight in 1967
